Chief Physicist – West Coast

We are searching for a newly created position of Chief Physicist to join this great team. This department leader will work closely with the Medical Director and Rad Onc Manager. The team works in a brand new state of the art facility with space to allow for growth and development.

This all Varian environment uses a Trilogy, 23IX and 21EX. Eclipse for treatment planning and Aria for R&V. Special procedures include IMRT, HDR and SRS. This department is a regional and national leader in therapy partnering with RTOG (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group), The Cleveland Clinic and the National Cancer Institute. Patient volume ranges from 55-70 a day. The two staff Physicists are experienced and talented. Each Physicist is encouraged to focus on their areas of strength and interest.

Collaboration best describes the culture of this team from the Director and Manager down through the entire staff. The Medical Director has a fresh and progressive vision allowing the team to excel for many years. The staff isn’t concerned about who gets the credit as they check their egos at the door for the greater good of patient care.

This commitment to quality has caused them to achieve Magnet designation for nursing excellence, and the only hospital on the West Coast selected by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to participate in its Community Cancer Centers Pilot Program (NCCCP). Clinical research is encouraged as par for the course.
